Is NeoGraft for both men and women?
Yes, NeoGraft is safe and effective for both men and women interested in restoring their hair using their own live hair follicles.
How much does NeoGraft cost?
Prices vary from patient to patient and depend on the number of grafts needed. Dr. Seify can estimate the number of graft during your consultation and always offers a competitive price on hair restoration procedures.
How long does it take?
The NeoGraft harvesting process can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours while the placement process can take a few hours after that. We can provide a time estimate after we have a chance to look at the treatment sites and learn more about your goals.
What’s the downtime?
One of the great things about NeoGraft is there is virtually no downtime. Most patients resume regular activities within days of their procedure and don’t have to worry about covering up scars. You can expect the transplanted follicles to settle within 7 to 10 days so there’s no major disruption in your schedule.
Will insurance cover my NeoGraft procedure?
Hair restoration is usually considered to be a cosmetic procedure so insurance will not cover it. Please ask us about financing options so NeoGraft can be an affordable option for you.
What are the risks involved?
NeoGraft is revolutionizing the hair transplant and hair restoration industry with its minimally-invasive protocol. As a result, there are little to no risks involved and it’s the first FDA-approved Follicular Unit Extraction device in the United States. Since the NeoGraft FUE machine uses controlled pressure to remove the graft, there’s no pulling or twisting involved so the risk of damaging the graft is eliminated.
Is it painful?
Most patients experience little to no discomfort throughout the procedure because there are no incisions involved. The most discomfort you might feel is the injection of local anesthetic before the scalp and treated areas go numb. After the procedure, you may feel some sensitivity in areas that were treated and as the anesthetic wears off.
How long until I see results?
Treatment results vary from person to person but the healing process typically takes between 7 to 10 days. Most patients see new hair growth within 4 to 6 months after the procedure.
Do I have to get touch up treatments?
Some patients may need subsequent treatments to maintain results or further counteract the effects of aging on areas that were not treated the first time. We can discuss your goals and expectations during your consultation.
